About

Tim has over 45 years experience as an architect and is well known for his innovative approaches to building and furniture design.

You may know Tim from his early days in Brisbane as Tim Guymer Architect, his Knots furniture days, or from the years he headed up Guymer Bailey Architects in Brisbane. You may also know him as a keen sailor.

Tim is currently working solo again so he can personally deal with every aspect of your architectural design project.

- Prepare concept design for you to consider first up.

- Produce more developed design drawings such as preliminary floor plans, elevations and perspective views once you are clearer about your preferred design direction.

- Provide you with detailed construction documentation or the how and what to build details of your project once you are ready to commit to a preferred developed design and you have your building budget in place.

- Assist with any necessary town planning and building approval processes.

- Coordinate with engineer, surveyor, geotechnical engineer and other specialists as required.

- Undertake contract administration, which includes helping you choose a builder, make a suitable building contract and as building progresses checking that work is carried out to the contracted design.
